Making Memories in South Korea

This South Korea travel video follows a trip taken with my friends across Seoul, Jeju Island, and Busan — three very different places tied together by the same idea: never miss a chance to make memories with the people you love. From the density and neon of Seoul to Jeju's open coastline and Busan's sea-facing sprawl, each frame is composed to hold a feeling rather than simply document a destination. I took on every aspect of production, serving as videographer, editor, and colour grader. Shot entirely on the Fujifilm X-E4 with the Viltrox 13mm f/1.4 — a small, wide, fast setup that gets close enough to be part of the moment instead of observing it from across the room. Edited and colour graded in DaVinci Resolve, the film leans into a film emulation aesthetic that gives the footage warmth, softness, and the slight imperfection memory tends to have. Scored to Yu Jae Ha's Because I Love You (사랑하기 때문에), the piece is less a travelogue than a keepsake. Dad lore, as they say, has expanded.
